New zero-emission micromobility hire solution for fleets

We’ve launched a range of new micromobility vehicles capable of carrying chilled or refrigerated goods.

The micromobility electric vehicles (EVs) joining our fleet are the Goupil G4 and the Alke ATX, which aim to meet the growing demand from our food and pharmaceutical customers to deliver perishable goods.

The new vehicles form part of our sister company, Northgate’s group-wide Drive to Zero initiative which reduces the emissions of its hire fleet and that of its customers.

Currently, 10% of the FridgeXpress short and long-term hire fleet is electric, a number that will continue to rise as our team collaborates with customers on transitioning their vehicles away from diesel.

Like the rest of our light commercial vehicle (LCV) hire fleet, the new EVs come complete with servicing, maintenance and breakdown provision as part of a single monthly rental payment.

Adam Naylor, managing director of FridgeXpress, said: “We have been working on bringing these agile solutions to our customers to help them meet their net-zero targets. ”

“We are inviting fleets to trial these innovative new vehicles in real-world operating conditions. ”

“These vehicles are homologated for N1 road use and are available with a variety of battery capacity options which means we can further tailor them to our customers’ needs, both in the service they provide and their commitments to the environment.”

We have kept our range simple, but with enough diversity to cater for the varying applications that are regularly required by our partners in the food transport industry.
